Yup - the joys of university applications. And then, as if applying weren't enough of a headache, there's scholarship applications too!
Anyway, the work has paid off and Alex has been accepted into the geophysics program both at the University of Alberta and the University of Texas at Austin. Both good programs, both great schools, both great LDS programs and population ... but one has great weather and one doesn't. [You can decide which is which, because maybe you LOVE snow]
{Also...and this is just the mom talking...one is so far away!!!}
So way to go Alex!
Now she just has to wait to hear about scholarships and then she can make her decision (since UofA is about 1/5 the price of UT!)
In case you are wondering, James and I are totally impartial in the decision

That's pretty awesome. It is far away. But a great place you can go visit. I'm in phoenix. Don't want to come home but I start my new job Wednesday. Working stiff!
Good luck to her! Are the cut off dates different in Canada? Caleb is only a junior, but he is older than she is. Let us know what her final decision is!!
