I just finished washing some lettuce from my garden - and it was FILLED with ants. And those ants are tenacious little so-and-sos. Even after I soaked the lettuce in water, they were still crawling around. As I prepared the lettuce for eating, ants were popping up everywhere. And even when I wiped them up as I cleaned the counter, and then rinsed out the cloth, there were more of them coming up the sides of the sink!!
And now I feel like they are crawling all over me....yuck!

Ummm... Gross. What if you soaked the veggies in vinegar?
